Mornings at the River with Missouri River Relief. 9:30-11:30 a.m., Thursday June 15, for kids ages 0-5, Cooper’s Landing Riverside Resort & Marina, 11505 S. Smith Hatchery Road. HURRY AND REGISTER FOR THE FREE EVENT. It’s an opportunity for little ones and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers to spend time exploring, discovering, and making memories together at the Missouri River.
Space is filling up, so register ASAP.
Mornings at the River is a cool function of the energetic team at Missouri River Relief. The program geared toward kids from birth through age 5 had its first sessions Tuesday and Thursday (June 6 and June 8) with special guest Adrienne Luther, a local artist who guided toddlers and their families through a colorful, outdoorsy craft.
Coming up Thursday, June 15, children will get to meet some special feathered guests from the University of Missouri’s Raptor Rehabilitation Project during the Beautiful River Birds theme.
On June 22, attendees will be encouraged to dance along to the magical river music of guest musician WildHeart. You’ll find registration at www.riverrelief.org.
Drink and Dine in The District. Downtown Columbia throughout the month of June. Special menu items and deals from your favorite restaurants. Pick up a passport and collect stickers from participating businesses to be entered to win prizes.
