FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1 

Live Music – Dive Bar. 5-10 p.m., 1116 Business Loop 70 E. No cover. 

10 Anniversary Celebration – City Garden School. 6 p.m., 606 Ridgeway Avenue. Prepare to be inspired by a journey through the transformative years of City Garden School, where we have nurtured young minds, fostered creativity, and cultivated a passion for learning. This is a FREE event. The ticket link is just for RSVP purposes. 

First Friday – North Village Arts District. 6-8 p.m. Art, music, food, and fun. A FREE gallery crawl the first Friday of the month in the NVAD. Explore the unique venues and enjoy the live music, art, and entertainment (hours may vary by venue). See the map/guide at northvillageartdistrict.org. 

Chili Dinner and Bake Sale event by Humanitarian Aid for Children in Palestine. 6-9 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia, 2613 Shepard Boulevard. Live speakers and music. Suggested donation $10. 

Close to Home – A local artist pop-up show and holiday market. 6-9 p.m. Friday and 12-3 p.m. Saturday. 810 E. Walnut St. 

Compass Inc. Caroling. 6-8 p.m., First Friday, North Village Arts District. All are welcome; lyrics will be provided. Singers meet at the Artlandish Gallery, 1019 E. Walnut St., at 6 p.m. 

Odyssey Chamber Music Concert Series – Candlelight Holiday. 7 p.m., First Baptist Church Columbia, 1112 E. Broadway. $25 ($5 with student ID). 

Living Windows – The District. 6-8 p.m. Downtown Columbia. L,live performances, open houses, shopping, stunning holiday decor all through The District, free horse drawn carriage rides, the Enchanted Forest, Augmented Reality codes and visits with Santa. Parking is FREE in downtown garages after 6 p.m. 

Crowder – Milk & Cookies Tour. 7:30 p.m., Jesse Auditorium, University of Missouri, 501-541 S. Ninth St. If your idea of holiday cheer involves a good ol’ hootenanny, you better come join us for a night with 5x GRAMMY nominated artist, Crowder. Some GA tickets remain.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2 

29th Annual Open House – Melynda Lotven, artist. 9 a.m.-5 p.m., 5401 N. O’Neal Road. Unique hand-painted gourd artwork. 

Winter Farmers Market. 9 a.m.-noon, 1769 W. Ash St. Columbia Farmers Market is a year-round producer-only farmers market. Shop local with over 80+ vendors. 

Saturday Morning Science. 10-11 a.m., Ragtag Cinema, 10 Hitt Street. Not your typical science lecture; expect to be entertained. FREE. No science background is required; all ages welcome. 

Handmade Holiday Pop-up Sale. 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 209 Alexander Avenue. A Handmade Holiday pop-up sale featuring Fergus Moore Pottery and Handwoven items by Erica Kroll. Enjoy warm cider and snacks and shop for local handmade gifts. This is part of the West Ash Holiday Art Crawl. 

5th Annual Holiday Open House. 10 a.m.-4 p.m., SHSMO Center for Missouri Studies, 605 Elm Street. Fifteen vendors. Join us for our 5th Annual Holiday Open House shopping event. Shop from unique Missouri vendors and artisans who are sure to have something on everyone’s wish list. Santa and Mrs. Clause will be stopping by from 10-12 and will be available for photos. 

Cranktivus. 12-4 p.m., Walt’s Bike Shop, 1204 Park Avenue. Cranktivus is a food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part food drive. Please show up early to get signed in, get your grocery list, get your bike ready, and be present for a group photo. 

Toasty Goat Holiday Market. 4-7 p.m., 515 S. Scott Blvd., Ste 101. It’s the perfect chance to purchase Christmas gifts from local makers. 

First Friday Marketplace. 6 p.m, Curations573, 1103 E Walnut St. Join us for the finest, outdoor, art and artisan marketplace in Columbia! Over 30 local vendors, musicians, and so much more. 

Compass Folk Singers Showcase – Compass Inc. 5-7 p.m., 1107 University Avenue. Free event with a suggested donation of $5-$15. 

The Short Circuits + Free Vice + Wilson Park Rangers. 7-10 p.m., Café Berlin, 220 N. Tenth St. For fans of groovy licks, funk, and pop-rock. Bring your dancing shoes, get ready to get down! FREE SHOW (18+). 

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 3 

Immanuel Wilkins – “We Always Swing” Jazz Series. Two shows, doors 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., Murry’s Restaurant, 3107 Green Meadows Way.  

Winter Wonderland Holiday Market. 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Stoney Creek Hotel, 2601 S. Providence. Local artists, artisans, musicians, small businesses, and more. 

Heart of Missouri Chorus Sweets & Songs Extravaganza annual fundraiser. Fairview Road Church of Christ, 201 S. Fairview Rd. Christmas songs, silent auction, free dessert tasting, door prizes. Tickets $10; $5 for kids 5-12; under 5 are FREE. 

Sunny Sundays – Café Berlin. 5-11 p.m., 220 N. Tenth St. FREE + Happy Hour 5-7 p.m. Rain or shine.  

MONDAY, DECEMBER 4 

Community Showcase Mondays – Café Berlin. 7-10 p.m., 220 N. Tenth St. Open mic; sign up to play. Happy Hour 5-7 p.m.
