2016’s 20 Under 20: Sterling Cage, Battle High School
Sterling Humburg-Cage, 18, Battle High School
College plans:
Attend Moberly Area Community College for around two years with the A+ Program to get an associate’s degree, then transfer to MU, hoping to become a psychologist.
Favorite class in high school:
EEE (Extended Educational Experience).
Favorite club or extracurricular in high school:
Battle Academy of Rock or Future Problem Solvers.
Proudest accomplishment in high school:
Being selected alongside 17 other students in the school to give a Tedx talk that was broadcast worldwide.
Best advice I’ve ever received:
Treat others the way you want to be treated, and that your life is what you choose to make it.
Future goals:
Become a psychologist or have some occupation that allows me to help others. Maybe try to be a voice actor. Ultimately, I want to leave my mark on the world and create a legacy of some kind that leaves positive change.
Person I admire and why:
My brother, Dayton. He is disabled (Ceberal Palsy, mild autism, ADHD, previously had skin cancer), and he gives me purpose to treat others well and try to make the world a better place through any act possible, no matter how small it may be.
What you do for fun:
Hunt, watch TV and films, relax with friends, jog and exercise, and play video games.
