College plans:

I plan to attend Harding University, where I will major in Biochemistry and minor in Spanish. I will also be running track and cross country.

Proudest accomplishment in high school:

Winning the 800 meter run at the State Track Championship in 2015.

Best advice I’ve ever received:

Never be afraid to ask for help.

Biggest lesson learned in high school:

Loyalty is priceless.

Future goals:

I plan on going to medical school to become an oncologist. I would love to eventually have a family as well. When I retire, I plan to volunteer as a track coach!

Person I admire and why:

I have so much admiration for my track coach, Hellois Scheeres. She’s been through so much, but she never stops smiling. Her contagious positivity is an inspiration to not only the athletes she trains, but even their competitors. Her determination and passion for running encourage me to push through the most difficult workouts.
