Coming Up In COMO is a brief peek at concerts, plays, art exhibits, events for families and kids, and more. You may send your event notice to [email protected]. Please put “Coming up in COMO” in the subject line. Include the date, time, a brief description, and website or Facebook page (or phone number) for your event. 


  • First Friday is a free art crawl on the first Friday of each month in downtown COMO, with the North Village Arts District as the fulcrum for all the activity. During the evening, galleries, shops, and businesses will be open with music, art, and much more. As many as 50 vendor booths will be set up and operating. See the list of upcoming events below for more details about First Friday plans.
  • On Sunday, Unchained Melodies Dog Rescue will have adoptable dogs and puppies at Pierpont General Store, 7650 Missouri 163. The event, from 1-3 p.m., also features The Open Road Band, and a pet caricature artist will be on hand to create the perfect sketch of your pup.
  • The Boone History and Culture Center at 3801 Ponderosa Street has standing exhibits and special programming throughout the year. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.


Moms Who Coffee – Toasty Goat Coffee. 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 515 S. Scott Blvd., Ste 101. Event by Willow Clearwater and CoMo Moms Connect. 

First Friday Happy Hour ft. The Fried Crawdaddies at Rose Park. 5:30 p.m., Rose Music Hall, 1013 Park Avenue. Tickets $5. 

Artist in residence exhibit, Orr Street Studios. 6-9 p.m., 106 Orr St. Live music by Audra Sergel, Lisa Rose, and Joel Anderson. Four artists are represented this year with an array of artworks to show the community. 

Muse Embodied Art Exhibition with Tricia Dietrich. 6-9 p.m., Serendipity Salon and Gallery by Elizabeth Jordheim, 1020 E. Walnut St.  

2023 Miss Missouri Pageant. Through July 9 at the Holiday Inn Executive Center, 2200 I-70 Dr. SW, Columbia.  

Artlandish July First Friday. 6-9 p.m., ARTlandish Gallery, 1019 E. Walnut St. Live music, lively artists, more than 45 booths of handmade goodness, tour the North Village Arts District studios, party on the Wishtree Patio. 

First Fridays at DogMaster. 6-9 p.m., DogMaster Distillery, 210 St. James St., Suite D.

Firefly Music Festival. Playlist at an Exhibition: A Promenade Concert – The Missouri Symphony. 7 p.m., The State Historical Society of Missouri, 605 Elm St. Tickets $49. 

GLO PARTY at Arch & Column. 8 p.m., Arch and Column Pub. No cover. Must be 21+. 

The Return of Robot Coffee Break at Dive Bar. 8 p.m., 1116 Business Loop 70 East.
