Chamber's Small Business of the Year Finalists announced (including us!)
The Columbia Chamber of Commerce recently unveiled this year’s class of finalists for the Small Business of the Year Award — including our parent entity, The Business Times Company! We’re obviously very flattered and appreciative (and proud of our co-workers at Columbia Marketing Group, COMO Living, and Jefferson City Magazine), but we also want to do our job and focus on celebrating the other fantastic businesses in this year’s class. We’re lucky to be in the same conversation as them.

Anne Churchill’s event planning team earns a well-deserved nod. As anyone who was at our 20 Under 40 party can attest, they know how to throw together quite a party.
TrueSon Exteriors
TrueSon has been making homes around Columbia look beautiful for quite a while now. They’re our group’s only repeat finalist (they were among the top five in 2015 as well), and we’re proud to be mentioned with them.
Tompkins Homes and Development
No surprise here — Tompkins was also named CBT’s top real estate developer in CBT’s Top of the Town awards last summer. Each custom home they put up is worthy of admiration.
Harold’s Doughnuts
As an office that frequently battles of who will get the last Harold’s doughnut when someone brings a box in, we understand they belong in this group. Thanks for making our staff meetings more delicious.
