"After spending more than 30 years in the marketing, public relations, and communications field, I went to work for an attorney friend as a paralegal. After six years, I was ready to go back home and just write. My timing was great. I left in November 2019. Fortunately, after reaching out to COMO Marketing in early 2020, I not only did some freelance writing for the agency, but was asked if I would write for COMO Magazine. Journalism is my first love, so of course I said yes. My youngest sister and her family live in Columbia, so I’m often there to visit them. I have enjoyed writing every CBT/COMO Magazine story assigned to me over the past five years. I have met some amazing people doing some more amazing things, like the couples struggling to overcome infertility, women broadening their skill sets on Habitat houses, and small businesses and entrepreneurs pursuing their dreams with grit and determination. I’m a storyteller at heart, and I love playing a role in telling Columbia’s best stories through its people."
