Columbia’s winter dining scene is about to get a flavorful boost.
Food lovers across Mid-Missouri can mark their calendars for the winter edition of Columbia Restaurant Week, running January 30 through February 8 at restaurants throughout the city. The multi-day event celebrates Columbia’s diverse culinary community while encouraging residents and visitors alike to support local dining establishments during the slower winter season.
A collaborative effort between the Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Missouri Restaurant Association, The District, and the Columbia Hospitality Association, Columbia Restaurant Week showcases everything from elevated comfort food and classic favorites to globally inspired dishes. Participating restaurants will offer special prix fixe or featured menus during regular business hours, giving diners an excuse to try something new or revisit a favorite spot.
This year’s event features two distinct tracks: traditional sit-down restaurants and Counter Culture, a fast-casual program designed to highlight Columbia’s growing counter-service scene. Together, the tracks reflect the breadth of the city’s food landscape, from quick bites to full dining experiences.
Beyond the plate, Columbia Restaurant Week also serves a greater purpose. The event raises funds for The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri, helping support neighbors facing food insecurity across the region.
No tickets are required to participate. Diners can simply visit any participating restaurant during the event dates and ask for the Columbia Restaurant Week menu. Reservations are recommended where available for table-service restaurants.
To kick off the week, a media event will take place January 29 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at The Vault inside The Tiger Hotel, featuring remarks from steering committee members, an official proclamation, a ribbon cutting, and interview opportunities.
