Behind the Scenes: Changes coming…
Creative meetings spark new goals.
Each Monday morning, the Business Times Company creative team gets together to fight off the Monday blues together in search of really good ideas.
The creative team includes the editors and designers of our company’s three publications, our fearless operations manager, and account managers. There’s lots of coffee, and the meetings start out pretty quiet.
And then the wheels start turning. And every week, I’m amazed at some of the ideas we come up with.
One week, we might brainstorm new content for the Love and Relationships section in COMO Living. Another week, we might put our heads together and create a new ad campaign for a client. And then we brainstorm CBT ideas …
What are we currently brainstorming? Well, I can’t tell you that. Yet.
But I can tell you that one of our team’s goals is to constantly look at our “baby” and figure out how to make Columbia Business Times more interesting and more engaging for our readers. One of our company mottos is that we are never comfortable with status quo.
Come July, you’ll be seeing some major changes in CBT. The best ideas start in brainstorming sessions, creative meetings, and impromptu “what if” conversations. I’m lucky to work for a company that encourages our team to not only think outside the box, but to live outside the box.
Stay tuned!
