My Secret Garden is moving from Ninth Street, a half block north of Broadway, to the former location of Vespa at 823 E. Broadway.
Ruth Lahue opened My Secret Garden about 21 years ago. The retail shop sells flowers, floral arrangements and a variety of gift products. Her husband, Steve LaHue, is remodeling the new space, while son Zac and daughter Stephanie will continue working at the new location after the Ninth Street shop closes in about a month.
Ruth Lahue said in a news release today that the new location will include a retail area for customers, an expanded floral design studio, and a wedding consultation room on the second floor.
Vespa is operated by Steve Tuchschmidt and his sister Katie, who opened the scooter franchise two years ago and moved it a month ago to Mid-America Harley Davidson, which is owned by their parents.
