Low-calorie frozen dessert chain Tasti D-Lite will soon open its first franchise in Missouri.
Franchisees Todd and Carissa Neimeyer plan to open the store by the end of November at 1201 Grindstone Parkway. The store will be the first Tasti D-Lite franchise with a drive-through, Carissa Neimeyer said.
Kidwell Construction is preparing the building, which was just a shell for a Starbucks that walked away, Carissa Neimeyer said. The architect is Randal Byrd.
Carissa Neimeyer, owner of rental management company Neimeyer Properties, will manage the new store’s operations. She expects the student population to drive sales for the store. The store sells a treat similar to soft-serve ice cream, but it markets it as much healthier. It primarily operates in New York but also has stores in Tennessee, Florida, Texas and Arizona, with plans to expand in the Midwest and the West Coast.
