Mizzou Ophthalmology 5K Run/Walk
10 a.m. Sunday, May 3
Twin Lakes Recreation Area

The event is a fundraiser to support MedZou’s free clinic for underserved patients in Columbia. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 9:30 a.m. for check-in. Following the race, participants are invited to stay for refreshments. Kids, pets, and families are encouraged to attend. Games and food trucks available. The scenic course will begin at County House Trail, alongside Twin Lakes fishing lake and Hinkson Creek. At the 1.5-mile marker, there will be a water station.

 

4th Annual Capital City Race
5:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9
Missouri State Capitol, Jefferson City

The race honors Jared Palmer and raises awareness for mental health. Choose from a 5k, 10k, or Jefferson City’s only half marathon. Race time starts at 7 a.m. Entry fees vary by race distance and include a race shirt, medal, bib, and swag bag.

 

2026 Swingin’ “Fore” Miracles Golf Tournament and Auction

Join High Limit Productions Foundations for its third annual scramble golf tournament benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network.

$400 per team; Lunch and beverages provided, live and silent auction to follow.

Hallsville Quarterbackers 21st annual golf tournament

9 a.m. Saturday, May 30

Lake of the Woods Golf Course, 6700 E. Saint Charles Rd.

Registration starts at 8 a.m., shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Entry Fee: $380 per team (Must be 21 and over to register).
The tournament supports the Hallsville football program. Prizes for the best and worst.

2026 5th Annual Larry Gross Lewy Body Awareness Fundraiser

11 a.m. Monday, June 1

Country Club of Missouri

Raising awareness and providing help for families affected by Lewy Body Dementia.

18 holes of golf with on-course contests and raffles. All proceeds benefit the Larry Gross Lewy Body Dementia Awareness Foundation, supporting education, care packages for families, and community resources.

 

Go Girl Run – Columbia

This women-only race features a half marathon and a 5K option, celebrating the strength, resilience, and camaraderie of women. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, the event promises a supportive atmosphere.
