ASSASSINS, 111 Orr Street, October 23-26, 2025
Trent’s Take: This Sondheim musical, presented by the ever-ingenious GreenHouse Theatre Project, tells the story of every person who has ever attempted to assassinate a United States president. Set in a warehouse in the North Village Arts District, this is sure to be a must-see this fall!

Trent’s Take: The We Always Swing Jazz Series hits it out of the park with this evening of jazz! Camille Thurman is an accomplished composer, saxophonist, vocalist, and interpreter of the jazz tradition. Catch her in Columbia in an intimate setting for one night only.

Trent’s Take: In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter and meet a houseful of wild characters. Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper, and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock ’n’ roll sci-fi gothic musical is more fun than ever and perfect for the Halloween holiday!
Fall Into Art, Wyndham Executive Center, November 1-2, 2025
Trent’s Take: Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Fall into Art is a vibrant two-day festival celebrating local and regional artists, hosted by the Columbia Art League. This dynamic event showcases an incredible variety of fine art, handmade crafts, and unique gifts, perfect for art lovers and early holiday shoppers alike.
Shaky Graves, The Blue Note, November 12, 2025
Trent’s Take: Across his career, Shakey Graves — a.k.a. the performance moniker of Austin, Texas-born Alejandro Rose-Garcia — has intentionally created thrilling musical adventures tailored to each fan: burning CDs and putting them in personalized decorated bags; building intricate scavenger hunts that send fans in search of unique tapes; and Bandcamp-exclusive releases.
