The Downtown Community Improvement District is hosting a celebration of Shop Small Business Saturday. It’s a holiday shopping tradition that celebrates more than 600 small and local businesses.
“Two-thirds or sixty-seven cents of every dollar spent at a locally-owned business remains in your community,” says Nickie Davis, The District’s executive director. She says “the best deals of the season from your favorite downtown retailers” will be available and remember that parking is free your first hour in all garages and free after 6 p.m. on Friday and through the weekend.
“We’re looking forward to this,” Davis adds. “Help us support our local businesses during this holiday season. Our small businesses are what keep Columbia unique and interesting. Find one-of-a-kind items for all your holiday needs in The District. Shop Local CoMo.”
