Heart of America Training Run #2 (Devil’s Ice Box – 17.2 miles). 6-10:30 a.m., meet at Devil’s Ice Box parking lot, Rock Bridge Memorial State Park. Everyone is welcome whether or not you are training for the HOA marathon or relay. 

Multi Family Garage Sale. 7 a.m.-2 p.m., COMO Magazine, 404 Portland Avenue. Portion of proceeds to benefit City of Refuge. 

Hickman Football Pancake Breakfast. 8-11 a.m., Hickman High School. $10 per person. Dine in or takeout. 

Columbia Farmers Market. 8 a.m.-noon, MU Health Care Pavilion at Columbia’s Agriculture Park, 1769 W. Ash St. 

Dino, Dig & Pose! A Dinosaur Encounter at Selfie Love. 9-10 a.m. or 10:30-11:30 a.m., 804 Locust Street. $40/child, adults are free. 

Family Event: Art of Photography. 10 a.m.-noon, Boone County History and Culture Center. Learn about how photography has changed over time and how volunteers are preserving photos of early Boone Countians. See real glass-plate negatives, tintypes from the American Civil War, and hold real film strips before you make your own portrait. 

Fringe 2nd annual summer sale. 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 3310 Vandiver Dr.
