What is something you would legalize in COMO?

We may be biased, but we think COMO is the greatest city on Earth. But of course, there’s always room for improvement! So, we asked our Advisory Board what law they’d love to see put into place in our city (besides weed and rollcarts).

Darren Morton

I would like to legalize work days as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and have 4-day weekends every weekend in COMO!

Alex George

I’m pretty sure the world would be a better place if the city sent every COMO resident a voucher for Sparky’s every month or so. Kind of like with the trash bags, only for ice cream.

Jeremiah Hunter

What I want to see legal…Uh…um…have to pass on that?

Nickie Davis

Abortion…. and buying liquor before 9 a.m. on Sundays. What is that? Do we live in Kansas?!

Chris Cottle

Psilocybin for treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse issues, migraines, and cluster headaches.

Kris Husted

I would legalize no-excuse absentee voting. I’m originally from California, and it was so convenient mailing in my ballot ahead of time there. For some reason, I’m always super busy on election days.

Beth Bramstedt

I would legalize outdoor meetings on days it’s sunny and 75!

Nathan Todd

I’d have to do some checking, but “the bachelor law” required all single men between the ages of 21 and 50 to pay an annual $1 tax to the state government. They should make it due on Valentine’s Day as an added reminder you are single, haha!

Barbra Horrell

More shopping opportunities in COMO!

Heather Brown

I would legalize free parking downtown. I love going downtown, but avoid it if I can because parking is such a hassle.

Megan Steen

I want to legalize a pedal bar for COMO…exercise and drinks, what an awesome combo!

Chris Horn

Require CPD officers to live in COMO and pay salaries accordingly. This would better facilitate relationships between the community and those that police it.

Suzanne Rothwell

I plead the 5th. I’m in the business of making and keeping friends…nice try, though! Ask me when I retire in about 10 years.

Amanda Jacobs

Abortion…and 2-hour free parking in downtown seven days a week.

Wende Wagner

I concur with free downtown parking. I also think you should be able to buy alcohol at any time. Sale restrictions on a legal substance are silly.
