College Plans: Attend college at the University of Missouri, and in doing this am blessed with the opportunity to learn at one of the best Journalism programs in the country. There, I plan to get a degree in Strategic Communications and a minor in Political Science. After spending my time as an undergraduate student in Columbia, I plan to attend the University of Texas at Austin and enroll in the LBJ School of Public Affairs, using their dual-masters program to obtain degrees in both Journalism and Public Affairs in only three years.
Future Goals: With my college education, which will hopefully give me a thorough understanding of the American political sphere and extensive knowledge of how to most effectively communicate with the public, I hope to someday work for political campaigns and nonprofit organizations to fulfill my lifelong aspiration of leaving every place, person, and cause better than when I found it.
Person I Admire and Why: The person I admire most is definitely my mother. Throughout my whole life, she has demonstrated what it truly means to be resilient and battle adversity with a fiery passion. Growing up just the two of us, money was usually tight, but watching her persevere, obtain two degrees, succeed in her career, and overcome any challenge that presented itself not only made me admire her greatly but also instilled similar character traits in myself, for which I will be forever grateful.
