Community Post: SuretyBonds.Com Small Business Scholarship Seeks Applicants
For the past 3 years, SuretyBonds.com has been proud to host its annual Small Business Scholarship Program. SuretyBonds.com cares about small business because many of the businesses it serves every day are independently-owned companies or local businesses.
SuretyBonds.com believes the small business community is integral to the growth and well-being of the economy and is pleased to have the opportunity to give back to them. The scholarship program is one of the ways SuretyBonds.com helps invest in future business owners and entrepreneurs.
Students have the opportunity to win one of three $1,500 scholarships. To apply for the scholarship, students must submit a 500 to 1,000 word essay about how a small business or entrepreneurship has impacted their lives. Students should write about why small business matters to them and how they might apply small business values in the future.
High school students or college students who will be enrolled full-time at an institution of higher learning for the fall semester of 2016 can apply. They do not need to own their own business to apply, although many previous finalists and winners did in fact have their own businesses. SuretyBonds.com wants to hear from students who have been impacted positively from the small business community and want to apply those lessons in upcoming professional endeavors.
Scholarship submissions will be accepted until March 31, 2016. The essay and a few other details must be sent to
[email protected]. For the official rules and details of the scholarship, please visit https://www.suretybonds.com/scholarships/.
SuretyBonds.com highly encourages students in the Columbia community to apply for this scholarship and looks forward to receiving submissions!
