Green BEAN Delivery to offer service in Columbia
Beginning this week, fresh produce and natural groceries will be just a click away for Columbia residents. Green BEAN Delivery, the region’s largest online natural and organic grocery delivery service, will be providing Columbia residents with the opportunity to have fresh groceries delivered right to their doorstep.
According to a press release, Green BEAN Delivery provides an avenue for local artisans and farmers to distribute their products within the community. The ‘BEAN’ in the company name stands for the principles that guide the company’s mission: biodynamic, education, agriculture and nutrition.
Green BEAN Delivery, an Indianapolis-based company, has been serving residents of the greater St. Louis area since 2013 and Columbia will be their second Missouri-based city. Green BEAN Delivery is a membership-based subscription service with no sign up or membership fee, and delivery is even free with the minimum $35 order.
Once signed up, the customer’s order consists of a customizable produce subscription bin and optional added groceries. The small produce bin serves two people and is pre-filled with $35 worth of fruits and vegetables and the largest bin serves up to four people and is pre-filled with $49 worth of fruits and vegetables.
Each week, new pre-fills are created with the best seasonal produce. Other bin options include a fruit bin with $42 worth of fruit and a combo bin, which serves two people and has $28 worth of fruits and vegetables, but must include added groceries. Added groceries that customers can order along with their produce bins include natural meat and fish, dairy and eggs, fresh bread and many more local and natural items. Customers can register for weekly or bi-weekly deliveries.
