Power Lunch: After Hours

To cap the Power Lunch forums held in 2010, the Columbia Business Times and sponsor The Callaway Bank hosted a happy hour for the participants. About 40 people attended the social event in the Tiger Hotel lobby on Dec. 1.
At the event, Gary Meyerpeter, president of The Callaway Bank’s Columbia market, presented Tim Rich, executive director of the Heart of Missouri United Way, a check for $1,000 to contribute to the organization’s annual fundraiser.
Power Lunch forums during the year addressed the City Council’s relationship with the business community, Columbia’s attempt to be tapped by Google as a test city for its broadband project, MU’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship among its researchers, marketing Columbia and looming environmental regulations on stormwater.
