Phoenix Programs provides treatment for drug addiction, educational programs and related services. The not-for-profit organization has three facilities in Columbia. The new building will house all of the organization’s services and programs. Phoenix Programs was established in 1974 and last year served 2,000 people, according to a statement from the organization. Until April 30, donations to Phoenix Programs could qualify for a Missouri Affordable Housing Assistance Program tax credit. The credit is worth 55 percent of the donation amount in addition to the federal charitable-giving tax credit.
