The Chamber of Commerce coordinated the 12th annual salute to Mayor Darwin Hindman, held at Lenoir Woods Community Center on Feb. 16. The event also paid tribute to the city council, particularly outgoing members Jim Loveless and Chris Janku (shown here with Hindman and Mark Duncan of State Farm Insurance Co.) Duncan and Chamber President Bob Gerding (below, congratulating Hindman) spoke at the event along with Vicki Russell, associate publisher of the Columbia Daily Tribune (bottom row center), who joked that “it’s critical to pay tribute to our mayor and council members because that’s all we pay them.”
