Bring on Belgium! 

The United States defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 on Wednesday to reach the Round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup. The United States will play Belgium at 7 p.m. (central time) on Monday at Lumen Field in Seattle, the same site where the U.S. defeated Australia. A win would move the U.S. within one game of its first quarterfinal appearance since 2002. After that? The winner of that match plays in the quarterfinal round at 2 p.m. Friday, July 10, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. 

The Columbia Convention & Visitors Bureau launched Kick It In COMO! back in January in anticipation of World Cup fever, particularly because Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City was a site for first-round World Cup games – as well as a quarterfinal match. The CVB has identified community partners that have “adopted” teams to become the go-to spots for fans to gather, cheer, and celebrate (or to commiserate a loss). The community partners are: 

The U.S. topped Group D after a 4–1 win over Paraguay, a 2–0 win over Australia, and a 3–2 loss to Turkey with a rested lineup, leading to the Round of 32 victory that set up Monday’s match against Belgium. The complete Round of 16 – the teams remaining from the record 48-team field – includes:

The quarterfinals are set for July 9, 10, and 11 in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Inglewood, California, Miami Gardens, and Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. 

The 2026 FIFA World Cup semifinals are the final-four stage for the tournament, set for July 14 and 15, in Dallas and Atlanta. The final is set for Sunday, July 19, at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.
