The Lawn Company celebrates 20 years in business

The Lawn Company, originally founded in 1995, celebrates 20 years of service this year. In honor of their anniversary, The Lawn Company gave away free milkweed plants to customers to help decline the number of monarch butterflies.

“[Our customers have] supported us for some many years, so we like to support them in return,” says Carla Hunter.

The Lawn Company is a small company that serves mid-Missouri customers with a unique GREEN approach to lawn care. They offer “Better Lawns Naturally” with a natural alternative to chemical based lawn care. They feature their own unique organic fertilizers and mineral supplements. The Lawn Company also helps educate the public on how to maintain an overall healthy landscape.

The Lawn Company recently received the first ever Environmental Stewardship Award at the 2015 Mayor’s Climate Protection Awards. The Environmental Stewardship Award recognizes businesses that help maintain sustainability within the community. The awards ceremony took place on Earth Day.

The Lawn Company’s official 20-year anniversary party is still in the works.

“We are currently planning an event that will take place sometime this year,” says Carla Hunter.
