Officially located at 701 Business Loop 70, Como Dough has the ability to bring the pizza to you, whether it’s to a private party, festival, catered event or on the streets of Columbia. Customers can follow the food truck on Facebook and see where it’ll offer its wares next. Owner Mark Risch has been baking bread and other baked treats in the Columbia area for years, and in expanding to pizza, he hopes to bring his unique style to the Columbia food scene.

Crockett Engineering Consultants has been in Columbia since 1985 and helped develop projects such as the Columbia Medical Plaza and student housing facilities such as The Reserve and Campus Lodge. The company has now expanded to include Crockett Geotechnical, a construction material testing center. Eric Lidholm, formerly with Terracon, approached Crockett Engineering to get back into a smaller business setting. His new endeavor offers soil testing, concrete testing and on-site construction inspection to confirm projects are being built with sound materials. Advanced VIP Med Spa, located within Aesthetic Studio at 2703 E. Broadway, Suite 222, offers nonsurgical procedures such as chemical peels, injectables such as Botox and vessel and broken capillary removal. The spa offers a free consultation and treatment plan on your first visit, and procedures are quick, with some treatments only lasting about 30 minutes.

Sometimes buying that new suit for an interview or replacing the tattered couch in the living room can feel like an impossible task when you don’t have the money to spare. Connie Furlong wants to help people in situations such as these by providing affordable clothing and other items at Tiger Town Treasures. Located at 802 E. Business Loop 70, the thrift and consignment store is Furlong’s latest foray into the resale business. After running outdoor market sales in the Columbia area for a few years, Furlong moved the business inside so it could stay open all year.
