Joan Gabel will take over as dean of the Trulaske College of Business on Sept. 1. Gable comes to MU from Florida State University, where she was chairwoman of the Department of Risk Management, Real Estate and Business Law.
Gabel’s research interests include corporate governance and employment law issues, according to a release from the MU News Bureau. Gabel has also been published in The American Business Law Journal and The Journal of Business Ethics.
Gabel told the News Bureau that the successes of the business college “create an ideal environment for us to build upon those relationships so that together, we can continue to attract top students and help them develop into global business leaders and scholars.”
