PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND: I worked for 16 years as a licensed Realtor with House of Brokers and 11 years in land development.
A COLUMBIA BUSINESSPERSON I ADMIRE AND WHY: Bob Pugh and Lawrence Bulgin. Both of these men are humble, compassionate geniuses.
WHY I’M PASSIONATE ABOUT MY JOB: I love the research that goes into the development business. I love creating a plan and vision for a property and then executing that plan.
IF I WEREN’T DOING THIS FOR A LIVING, I WOULD: Be selling T-shirts on the beach.
BIGGEST CAREER OBSTACLE I’VE OVERCOME AND HOW: The market correction we have experienced during the past four years in our local and national markets has been painful and expensive for everyone involved in the development/construction industry.
A FAVORITE RECENT PROJECT: The Bellwood Subdivision.
WHAT PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS PROFESSION: It is not nearly as glamorous as people sometimes think. Every project takes longer to complete, costs more to complete and sells for less than originally anticipated.

FAMILY: Christi, my wife of 21 years; and daughters Katie, 13, and Lauren, 8.
FAVORITE PLACE IN COLUMBIA: My backyard pool with my family.
ACCOMPLISHMENT I’M MOST PROUD OF: Having a successful marriage and two beautiful, healthy children.
MOST PEOPLE DON’T KNOW THAT I: I am a music lover, especially country music. I just ran my first half marathon at the Country Music Marathon in Nashville with my friends Bert Hughes and Shawn Von Tagle and got to hear some great country music.
