Mediators association opens Jeff City office, hires director
The Association of Missouri Mediators, an independent organization, has opened a statewide office in Jefferson City and hired Randy W. Hoerschgen as the executive director.
In the newly established position, Hoerschgen will direct AMM activities such as promoting the mediation process with potential participants, the government, the legal community and the public. Beyond educating the general public about mediation, he will manage internal operations, membership recruitment, grant writing and other educational programs and maintain the association’s Web site.
AMM President Bruce Feldacker said that Hoerschgen’s appointment and the opening of the Jefferson City office were natural next steps “to better serve the AMM membership and the public interest.”
Hoerschgen is currently the principal in DecisionOne Mediation and Arbitration in Jefferson City and serves on the Fee Dispute Resolution Committee of the Missouri Bar. He has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. He completed mediation training at the University of Missouri School of Law and negotiations and mediation training at Northwestern University. He is completing a master’s degree from California State University in negotiations, conflict resolution and peace building.
Hoerschgen’s appointment was effective June 1, 2008. The Jefferson City office is at 308 East High Street, Suite 106.
