Midwest CompuTech brings technology expert to BC&S

Microsoft information worker solution specialist Sean Abbott will be the featured speaker for a Columbia Chamber of Commerce 2007 Business Conference & Showcase seminar entitled “New Microsoft Workplace Technologies.”

The presentation, sponsored by Midwest CompuTech, will take place at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, in the Holiday Inn Select Executive Center.
A native of New Zealand, Abbott joined Microsoft in 2003. Before that, he worked for Cisco Systems as a global account manager for clients including Levi Strauss and The Gap.

“It’s important for the business community to be exposed to this new technology,” said David Nivens, Midwest CompuTech’s co-owner.
The Microsoft seminar will focus on gaining insight into the business impact of the launch of three major new Microsoft products: Microsoft Office 2007, Exchange Server 2007 and the Windows Vista Operating System. These products are considered among the most significant in terms of technical innovation and optimized productivity.
The Windows Vista OS comes in four editions: Home Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate and Business.
