VA Mortgage Center.com announces name change
VA Mortgage Center.com, the nation’s leading dedicated provider of VA home loans to active duty service members and veterans, announced Nov. 10 that it is changing its name to Veterans United Home Loans. The name change will not have any impact on the company’s organizational structure or day-to-day operations. The name change is effective immediately.
“When we considered changing our name, it all came down to who we are as a company and where we think we are going,” said Veterans United Home Loans CEO Nathan Long. “VA Mortgage Center.com has served us tremendously. But as we move forward, our company is more than just a website; we strive to be a true resource for our nation’s heroes.”
The company chose the name Veterans United Home Loans after evaluating its vision for the future. The company believes through its new name additional opportunities will be available to better serve its customers.
“We’re really excited about the relationships we are going to be able to build with our customers,” Long said. “Our main focus and strength will always be VA loans, but our customers are looking for more. Because of our position in the market, we can offer them valuable information, trusted connections, and additional services that they know they can trust.”
New charity foundation
In addition to the name change, the company has started its own charity foundation geared toward serving the community, as well as military families and veterans. Veterans United Foundation began its inaugural fundraising campaign Nov. 1 and will announce the total raised at a company event on Nov. 10.
Headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, Veterans United Home Loans is the largest dedicated VA purchase lender in the nation. More than 750,000 military families have used Veterans United Home Loans when it was time to use their VA loan benefits. The Veterans United team is expected to secure more than $1 billion in VA funding this year.
