Project Description: This is the first of five buildings planned for Providence Village South, with a total of 21,800 square feet of office space and 20,500 square feet of retail and restaurant space. Scott Wendling said their development company, which has three parcels on 17 acres, spent $250,000 to construct the roundabout for the city at the intersection of Green Meadows and Carter Lane. “We’ve had interest from a bank, a restaurant, a service station and an insurance company for the 2,500 (square-foot) corner building,” Wendling said.
Background: Wendling, a Realtor with House of Brokers Commercial Realty Group, said they have 17 acres ready to develop around this site but wanted a solid commitment from a quality tenant before starting construction. They decided to build after a dentist asked him to look for an existing building to rent, and he couldn’t find a space that was of high enough quality and visibility.
